Personally, I design his particular argument is weak, but I do agree that it’s critical to go around policing dialogue in movies. Fictional characters, like actual people, are all kinds of things, including racist, bigoted, ignorant, unconcerned, and just plain tactless, and the words they say need to contemplate those characteristics.

In interviews with Ryan Seacrest and Jimmy Kimmel, the “Life As We Know It” asterisk came clean about her recent feud with her neighbor.

According to Reuters, the producers of “Conviction” sought to placate their concerns, issuing a statement expressing their sympathy for the daughter and son of sufferer Katharina Brow and noting that Swank, an executive producer on the movie, was brought inside “after the script was written and the film was greenlit.” Late Thursday, three producers issued a combined statement saying, “we have the deepest compassion and sympathy for the house of Katharina Brow” and added that they would arrange a screening because Melrose and Charlie.
